Senator Brett Lindstrom Has Fought For Nebraskans In His Four Years At The State Legislature
Senator Brett Lindstrom has staunchly defended your rights in his first four years in Lincoln. A lifelong Nebraskan, Brett’s family instilled in him a solid foundation of family values and emphasized the importance of hard work and commitment. It is that commitment to service and Nebraska values that has driven Brett to serve his fellow Nebraskans in the State Legislature.
Brett quickly became a leader in the Legislature, serving as a committee chair and vice chair of multiple committees all four years. He was chosen by two national organizations for their leadership symposiums as one of the best and brightest legislators across the country this past summer. Brett also co-chaired Next Generation Nebraska, a group of Nebraska Legislators under the age of 40, fighting to grow our economy and combat the brain drain occurring at our Universities with our educated young workforce. He has successfully worked across the aisle, a lesson he learned first in a special place – on the football team at the University of Nebraska. After graduating from Millard West High School, Brett followed in the footsteps of his father and two uncles to play football for the Huskers. While at Nebraska, Brett was chosen by his teammates as a Unity Council representative.
Brett is a committed fiscal conservative. He has been at the forefront of tax reform, economic development and family issues. As a financial advisor, Brett is confronted every day with the challenges of our nation's current financial state. Ever-higher taxes, over-regulation of our small businesses, and growing government spending are threatening the prosperity of every day Nebraskans. As your Senator, Brett will work to eliminate the state income tax through tax reform, spurring economic growth by making Nebraska a great place to work and to save. He has worked to repeal the social security tax, which hurts the senior citizens who retire here and drives many Nebraskans to other states in their golden years. Whether you are a small business owner, a young person just starting out, or a senior citizen, Brett believes we must help free markets thrive in order to bring prosperity to all Nebraskans.
Brett enjoys spending his free time in Omaha with his wife, Leigh, and three young children, Colette, Barron and Olivia. He also enjoys the company of family and friends, hunting, golfing, cooking, and coaching.
